About Me

A picture of me smelling flowers

Hi, I’m Kelsi!  I’m a twenty-something graduate student living in the Sunshine State, and I unashamedly admit to loving all kinds of cooking and baking.  The purpose of this blog is to share some of my favorite recipes and food tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years with you – accompanied by pictorial representation of each mouthwatering dish, of course!

The recipes you find on this blog will always combine the four “magical” elements I consider essential for a good recipe, being simultaneously healthy, easy, inexpensive, and delicious.  For years, I thought that a balance between these four was impossible, believing that healthy food generally wasn’t yummy, easy, or budget-friendly.  However, I have since learned that with some planning, thought, and openness to new ingredients and ways of preparing food, these four can come together with scrumptious results!

I hope the recipes you find here are useful and appealing to you.  These recipes are not for gourmet chefs, but rather are simple and healthy dishes that can be prepared quickly, on a limited budget, and without forfeiting any of the taste found in many unhealthy meals.  Leave a comment if you try any of my recipes, or if you have a suggestion or question about any of them.  I look forward to hearing from you!  Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for your visit Kelsi… it has led me to your very lovely blog and that beautiful field of sunflowers! Wish I could just run through that field with my 2 girls… 🙂

  2. Hi Kelsi, Thank you for following my blog! I hope you find some recipes you like that fit your approach to cooking and eating (i.e., easy, healthy, frugal and delicious). I, too, avoid fussy, difficult to prepare dishes. I look forward to exploring your site!
